CITY 26 WORK SHIFTS AND YOU
You may be wondering why Warehouse 3 is opening up to the public and who will be permitted to work there. In the past, work shifts have been reserved for the UW and UCN respectively due to their already public servant positions. However, this is changing so that an opportunity is presented to all citizens and cooperation merits not only a payment, but also the potential for a ration reward! The following will help you understand what will be happening in the work shift and what you can expect.
Required staff and their duties
Much like any profession, there are required staff for the work shifts in Warehouse 3.
MPF- A minimum of one MPF unit will be required for the shift. They will permit you into the work shift area through the large gate door of the warehouse. Their other duties include checking the records of attendees, keeping watch over the workers for safety purposes, as well as to ensure that once the shift starts, no one enters or leaves the work area so that everyone has total focus. More than one unit may be present, but if minimum capacity is met, only one will be needed. The MPF unit(s) will remain in the side area, away from the work stations.
UCN- A minimum of one UCN member will be required for the shift. Their duties are to ensure quality standards are met and that no citizen is slacking off as well as control conveyor belt speeds for the UW worker. Should more than one UCN member be present, they may divvy up certain duties between themselves as needed. The UCN member(s) may enter either the UW work station or the civilian work station during their quality checks or to operate the terminal on the far side of the warehouse.
UW- A minimum of one UW member will be required for the shift. Their duties are to educate civilian workers on their task before the shift starts and then operating the conveyor belts in their work station. Depending on how many are present and their general skill set, they may request the conveyor belt to either be sped up or slowed down, though it is paramount to keep the work flow continuous to ensure the most is done with the shift. Should more than one UW member be present, they may either work the same conveyor belt or both, leaving the decision up to themselves to ensure the best efficiency. The UW member(s) are allowed to enter either work station, but for the most part will remain in the conveyor belt area to assemble the small parts of the build before carrying the multiple, now larger parts to the civilian work area.
Citizen- A minimum of one citizen will be required for the shift. The citizen will work the assembly table in the warehouse as put together the parts coming their way to create one whole entity. Citizens are confined to the assembly table area and may not enter the side area with the MPF or the conveyor belt area with the UW member(s). Should more than one citizen be present, they may be assigned other duties as dictated by the UCN member (IE, quickly ferrying parts from the UW station to the assembly station or cleaning what is created for a higher quality aesthetic in the end.
What will be made
As of current, two potential items will be made in the warehouse: a head mount for a disposal unit and a city scanner. Both of these items are simple to assemble and labeled with a simple system to ensure they are not beyond understanding of some citizens. To best explain this system: parts will be labeled with letters of the alphabet. Part A will attach to a part labeled B and then part B will attach to a part labeled C. This is true for both the head mount and the scanner.
Shift completion and reward
The shift will end after a pre-determined time has passed. Once this occurs, a work whistle will blow and the conveyor belts will stop. All incomplete work will be able to be finished, but after everything has been assembled, the UCN member(s) will bring their evaluation of the workers to the MPF unit. Once that has happened, all workers are to approach the unit for their reward. A lazy worker will receive nothing, a slow worker will receive a token payment, a good worker will receive a ration, and an exemplary worker will receive a UCN ration. The UCN evaluation will greatly help influence this, but in the end the MPF unit is the one that hands out the rewards. By the merit of being a member of the UCN, the UCN overseer will receive a UCN ration but they are the only certain reward receiver. Should you prove to be a good worker or above, you will receive a loyalty point on your profile for your work.

We hope this handout helps explain everything you wished to know and if you want to learn more, speak to the UCN or the UW about work shifts. Have a productive day.
